My Lifesaver

Thinking just thinking

Compelled to just blink

Blinking and blinking

Yet still out of sync

Shifting and drifting

No line and no time

Lost my anchor to the vast open sea

No captain and no crew. It’s only me.

Sinking just sinking

Emotions rising vehemently

Searching just searching

Need strength to just be

Drowning just drowning

In my own salty tears

I’ve found no one to calm all my fears.

But alas the lifesaver

It comes to rescue me

Was it always there?

Did I not notice in my own despair?

Lifesaver oh lifesaver

What says thou to me?

I hope you enjoyed my poem. Sending hugs from Brooklyn. Sometimes when life becomes difficult and you feel like you are drowning-don’t forget to search for the lifesaver. It can be a friend, a therapist or a higher power. You are never truly alone.

Love you all Guady G

One Day with Pride

I am alone in this world

Without my mother and father

I wish I could say it was because of some accident

But it’s because they were full of lament

I wasn’t your normal little boy as they saw it

I was a freak of some sort in their eyes

I wanted a dress to wear instead of a car to play with

But as hard as I tried I couldn’t stop being me

Why couldn’t they accept me for who I was?

Instead they abandoned me in a city park

Now I’m in the foster system it’s true

But one day they will regret they walked away

They will have nothing to say except sorry.

That day, that one day shall come

I will shine brightly with pride

Someone will love me cause I love me

And I will no longer need to hide

I am me and I will be free.

Happy Pride month. It’s time to embrace yourself even if others may not understand. Love is love. I send you hugs from Brooklyn

Sincerely Guady G

Take it out!

Drenched in so much sweat

Elated that you get me so wet

Love it when you are brought out

You better work or I’m gonna pout

Flat, spray and the soaker setting

I’m ready for your hose so start the wetting!

Enjoy the hot weather! I send you hugs from Brooklyn. Thank you for following my blog.

Sincerely Guady G

Would you do it different?

To age is a blessing

To age alone is not

You were kind to others and they forgot

You wonder what the F was missing but then you remember. . .

Once upon a time you were a famous movie star

Now that you are older no one knows who you are

You had so many fans but not one close friend

Now you are alone when it is almost the end

You ignored your family and your

close friends

You only wanted the limelight and the company of fake friends

You walked the red carpet and never took your mother or father

Instead you took some glamorous other

You attended luxurious events but never with those that helped you to rise

Today you are in hospice waiting for your demise

I guess the lesson here is to appreciate how you came to be

Never forgetting family, friends and sincerity

Fame, fortune and being in the limelight

Is worth nothing if you must walk sad and alone into the night.

With all my love Guady G

The Bestseller

I don’t want to be that bestseller book. The one you couldn’t wait in line for or purchase in advance. You were ecstatic when it was gifted to you because you saved some money and time.

You took it home and couldn’t put it down. You read it and were excited about getting to the next chapter. Heck you even spoke to your close friends and family about such a great gift.

You peruse it once again to be able to participate in the monthly book reader’s club. You love the pages and the cover. You feel so proud to have read it because now you are admired for knowing the most about the plot and the main character.

Overtime you find interest in other books so you place it on your shelf. It just sits there collecting dust and it’s pages turning yellow. You barely look at it anymore but you still brag about how you got the bestseller. It’s very valuable and coveted by many readers but it’s yours.

But then you find another bestseller book that occupies your time. The older best seller book is just there watching you but you don’t even care. It’s pages haven’t been touched in many years. The sun has burned the cover making it fade in color. It barely resembles the book you loved years ago.

In summary you are nothing but a mere book reader without appreciation for the value of what he reads or has. I’ve seen how you part from books so easily. You sell your books for a few cents, donate them but mostly you just throw them out along with the trash.

So no I don’t want to be that bestseller book on your shelf. I want to be like the dictionary or the Bible because you can never be without either of those two. You will always need to check spellings and you will always need guidance.

Sending you good vibes from Brooklyn. Muah Guady G
